ER

Emergency room.
I have been to the ER.
I got my hand and my wrist burned with a boiling lobster chowder.
Relatively short wait.
Excellent organization with more medical personnel than patients.
I gave them my insurance card and my ID.
"Do you have any religious preferences?"
I signed at least 8 papers (with my burned hand) before being treated.
I got cream and bandage on my burns.
They gave me a pain killer.
Now I feel much better.

la Bolognese

Ho intravisto un volto conosciuto durante il pranzo nei tavoli all'aperto del parco. Dopo esserci scrutate per qualche minuto lei si e` avvicinata e mi ha detto "ciao!"
Cosi` una mia compagna dei tempi dell'universita` a Bologna e` spuntata dal nulla sotto il mio diparimento. La Bolognese e` appena arrivata in California per cominciare un post doc in fisica delle particelle.
