...and the Oscars go to...

My friend Ascia organized a get together to watch the Oscars.
We (mostly they) commented on the red carpet action, movies, actors, dresses and everything with white wine and a good variety of cheese.
People put a lot of effort in filling the ballot to win the prize of the night.

I got 11 Oscar picks correct over 24. Surprisingly more than Ascia's friends working in the movie industry. The reasons are:
-I picked up many of them randomly (it is always a good method)
-I voted several times for King's Speech which was awarded of many prizes.
I loved that movie, while the majority of her friends thought it was totally an old style Hollywood movie.

The winner got a bottle of champagne!

  1. Hi Chiara,
I also did see the King's Speech, and enjoyed it, but must recognise it is quite a "normal" film, nothing very new nor original, nor surprising... just an acceptable or, ok, a good movie. To my opinion obviously. So maybe I agree with your friends and even if I liked it, I think it did not deserve so much awarding.
    Anyway.. Cheers from Valencia!
    A very big hug!
